As one of four core team members selected to launch UCLA Global Online, I helped shape the foundational design approach for this university-wide initiative. The goal was to expand UCLA’s academic reach to national and international learners through a centralized platform showcasing high-quality online offerings.
I co-developed the Learn, Practice, Network (LPN) model—a pedagogical framework that became the foundation of the program. This approach aimed to deliver immersive, story-driven learning experiences by blending asynchronous content with live online engagement, upholding UCLA’s academic standards while centering the learner experience.

Example activities:
Develop skills with real-world scenarios.
Learners apply knowledge by collaboratively solving authentic, real-world problems, leveraging personal experiences and shared expertise.
Example activities:
Engage with peers & industry experts.
Learners actively interact, collaborate, and build professional relationships with peers and industry leaders, exchanging valuable insights and resources.
Example activities:
I led instructional design and content strategy for the pilot courses, building end-to-end development processes, scalable workflows, and custom templates to ensure consistent quality across the program. I also developed curriculum frameworks, course outlines, and instructional content; produced multimedia assets such as expert interviews and narrated presentations; and facilitated training sessions with instructors.
